Acclaimed author and star of stage and screen, Anthony Rapp is a shining star. He has been acting professionally since he was nine years old. He’s best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning landmark Rock Opera RENT on Broadway. He has appeared in numerous films including Adventures in Babysitting, Dazed and Confused, A Beautiful Mind and most recently the film adaptation of RENT. His first book, Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss and the Musical Rent was released in February. Anthony recently visited Fort Lauderdale to appear as a featured author at the Broward Public Library Foundation’s Literary Feast 2006 to promote his book and help raise funds for the Library. In addition, Anthony is proud to support and continues to help raise funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Friends in Deed, where he is a board member.
