Strike 'em Out...LEVINSON STYLE
Al Leiter, the Florida Marlin's terrific veteran southpaw, makes his return to Florida after a successful stint in New York with the Mets. His on-the-field career is highlighted by a 1996 no-hitter and a World Series championship with the Marlins. But, Al is an even bigger star off-the-field where he and his wife Lori founded Leiters Landing (www.leiterslanding.org), a charitable organization to help children in need. In addition, he was the 2000 recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award. The award is given every year to one major league player for his charitable contributions to society. Al is a true shining star and South Florida is glad to have hime back.
